For those of you who don't know, Aaron and I had our baby boy last week.

He's beautiful and healthy, and we're finally glad to be home.
Here's some pictures and stories from of his first days at the hospital...

My last pregnant picture. The delivery went pretty well. I started having contractions around 5:00pm, but they were just here and there. Nothing major. By 8:00pm, they were starting to get pretty heavy, and they got to be around 2-3 minutes apart. We left for the hospital and of course as soon as we got there, the contractions slowed down a bit. But I still went in, and they checked me in. I was already 4 cm
dilated, so they
admitted me. From then on, the contractions were just here and there, but not majorly close together anymore. At 12:20am, my doctor came in and broke my water. The contractions started picking up a bit, but still weren't very close together. At 1:50am they came in and said that the
anesthesiologist was leaving, and if I wanted an
epidural, it was now or never. So, I got it then. They then gave me P
itocin to get more contractions going. But after the
epidural, contractions were a breeze. :-) Everything started picking up from there, and soon I was 7 cm
dilated, and then 9 cm.... and by the time I got to 9, the epidural basically started wearing off. So those contractions weren't very fun. So at about 6:15am, I was reading to start pushing. That was probably the easiest of everything. He came out at 6:41am. I found out later that the cord was wrapped around his neck 2 times, and that near the end, every time I had a contraction, his heart rate would drop, and sometimes they weren't even able to find in. Of course no one said anything to me at the time. I had an episiotomy, because it cut down time, and they wanted him out.

Connor and Grandma

My gorgeous boy... eyes wide open, checking out the world in his first minutes of life.

They wrote this down, especially for Aaron, because he kept calling family and friends, and he was too excited and couldn't remember,
lol. He had to look at the board for help :-)

Now in the postpartum room, with Auntie Boo

Grandpa loves Connor

Me and my baby boy

Almost a smile :-)

His tiny little feet

Look at those hands

My cute chubby little cheeks
Because of his jaundice and such, he was very tired and
lethargic and having trouble nursing, but I wasn't having any trouble producing milk, so I was nursing him, and also giving him a bottle to supplement.

Connor and Auntie Kate

He likes to put his hands together like this. It's so cute when he does it!

Connor has decided that he likes to suck his thumb.... and when our nurse came in, she thought it was so cute, and asked for my camera, so that she could take this picture for me :-)
