This year for Aaron and my anniversary (May 3rd), we decided to take a little mini vacation. We decided it would be fun to do it yearly, but do a family vacation instead of just the two of us (maybe we'll do just the two of us for 5 year, 10 year, etc.... not sure yet). We've never been on a family vacation, so this was something special and a LOT of fun. We wanted to go somewhere that we'd never been before and we were deciding between Santa Barbara and San Diego... and then finally decided on Solvang and Santa Barbara. We had a blast! Connor was so good the whole time and we can't wait til next year's vacation! :)
SOLVANG/BUELLTON
he looks so mischievous here!
in a clog in Solvang
playing in Hans Christian Anderson Park
the only family picture we got (thank you stroller turned tripod)
in a stream in HCA park
Manny's Restaurant (Mexican food)... delicious! Here he's eating fried ice cream :)
Connor LOVED the hotel pool :)
the famous Pea Soup Andersen's... even though I didn't think it was all that grand.
hanging out in Solvang Park
we found the COOLEST "whimsical park" as it was described!
a water mister..
Connor and Daddy in jail!
this is just about a quarter of it in the picture
Connor and Daddy feeding the ostriches!
playing in a fountain after lunch
trying to steal the pennies (only because he wanted to throw them back in!)
a break for ice cream :)
at a mission
SANTA BARBARA
at the Santa Barbara Zoo
Connor and Mommy checking out the animals
his favorite... the ellies! (even though he doesn't look too excited, lol)
flamingos!
feeding the fishies
I love this picture. It's so Connor...
He just looks so sweet and innocent yet he was trying to get over the wall!
saying hi to the giraffes
feeding them lettuce!
at East Beach in Santa Barbara
running and jumping into his sand pit!
he LOVED the "sandbox" as he called it. He could have stayed there hours... but you can see he started getting tired after a few hours...
(P.S. I am getting very frustrated with blogger these days :( It was only letting me load 1 picture at a time otherwise it'd have an "error" message, and then I couldn't move anything around or it would get sent to the bottom of the page. PLUS it wouldn't let me put spaces between most of the pictures... grrrrrr....)

family vacations are the best :) It's not a 'vacation' with kids but it's fun! Cute pics by the way :)
