Connor James - update

Our sweet little boy is a joy in our lives. He keeps me busier than I ever thought I could be! He always keeps us laughing! He's very smart, thoughtful, and sweet!

Here's just some pictures & things about Connor...

His favorite TV shows are "Trip" (Little Einsteins), "Pablo" (Backyardigans) & "Kit-the-Dog" (Kipper).

He could live outside if I allowed it! All day long I hear him asking to play outside in the water, the grass, or the "wee hoo slide"

He rarely takes a nap (he still would, but I don't let him because then he's up too late)... but otherwise sleeps from 7pm-6am(ish) and only wakes up once (major improvement). He always goes right back to sleep though, so it's not too bad (he usually just wakes up because he has to pee or he's thirsty)

He's a crazy little daredevil when it's HIS idea. He'll cry and tell me he's going to fall when I sit him on the toilet to brush his teeth or do his hair, yet he'll jump up on the arms of the couch and jump off, or make crazy creations like below and attempt to climb, and not even show fear!

His favorite foods are the same as always (cheese, yogurt & any fruit). It's getting harder to get veggies into him and he rarely takes more than 2 bites of meat. Sometimes I hide veggies and meat in meals and he'll eat it perfectly :) (one of his favorite right now is applesauce with butternut squash... I think I could hide anything with applesauce and he'd love it!)

He's starting to talk REALLY well. He can basically let me know anything/everything that he wants/needs. And he's starting to repeat a LOT of things others say. One of things he says most often when he's in trouble and I try to talk to him is "no... look at me. Listen to ME!" (what I usually say to him)

he loves to play soccer, basketball, baseball, golf, etc... but every ball is either a soccer ball, or more likely a "bake-a-ball" (basketball)

he hates to be dirty or hates if something he likes/wants to hold is dirty and it always telling me to "cweam (clean) it"

He LOVES music. He stands up in our pew in church at "leads" the music with the chorister. He tells me all the time that a base drum says "boom boom", imitates how to play a trumpet and piano, and clangs everything together and says they're cymbals! He can also name a piano, a harp (which he calls a tickle because of how it's played), a violin, a trumpet and a flute by looking at a picture of them. He just learn how to turn the CD player on and I constantly come into the living room with him dancing and singing to his CDs.

He loves to "play" (watch Daddy play) Angry Birds and Flatout (car racing computer game)

He LOVES water. Bath, sink, pool, hose, etc. He also loves bubbles and is constantly saying "I take a bubble?" (bath) or play outside with bubbles.

He's the loudest child in the US... yet he constantly says "be quiet... you're too loud" if my voice goes above "normal." He refuses to even let me sing in his presence! But he does love to sing on his own. Some of his favorite songs are Do As I'm Doing, Popcorn Popping, Wheels on the Bus, Once There Was a Snowman & Ring Around the Rosie

He LOVES Disneyland. We got passes for all our birthdays (they're all in January) and we've been trying to go at least once a month (sometimes more) since then. At first we'd tell him where we were going and he'd have no idea what we meant... but lately he's been asking to go. He'll just be sitting there and suddenly say "Go to DineyLAND!?!? play on the train, the cars, see Mickey, etc."

He loves to say prayer for meals and bedtime. He would do it on his own, but it'd turn into a 45 minute prayer with everything he's thankful for (trees, milk, cars, his bed, his door, books, everyone he knows, etc), so I usually have to assist :)
