Mr. Personality

Connor is just a joy in our lives. He's just the most happy and well tempered baby I've ever seen. He's never fussy or anything. Always very smiley, and only cries when he's hungry or sleepy. And even then, as soon as I feed him or rock him to sleep, he's fine again.

He's getting to have such a fun personality, and just started laughing out loud. Every time I talk to him, he just smiles away at me. But every time I sing "I like big butts and I cannot lie" (Baby Got Back) he just busts up laughing. I started off doing that because of Emma on Friends, for those of you who've seen it, and he just laughs and laughs, which of course makes me want to keep on going. He also laughs when I sing "Boom shaka laka, Boom shaka laka"

A couple days ago I put him into this cute outfit, and then for fun I put on the hat, even though it was a little big. And then Aaron added the socks and turned the hat sideways. My sister says that he looks like Will Smith from the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air days, lol.

I keep trying to get a video with my video camera of Connor smiling, but he will NEVER do it. But then yesterday I had my phone with me, and he was just busting up because I was singing to him (not sure if he's laughing due to a good voice or bad, lol). So I took a video of him with my camera phone. Sorry it's not that great of quality, but it's still cute, I think :-)

Two Month Check-up

Connor had his 2 month check-up today. I was a little nervous because he had to get 3 shots. He was so cute though, perfectly happy, smiling at the nurse and the doctor, cooing at them and everything, and then he got his shots and SCREAMED. I believe I've only seen him cry hard enough to have tears two times... this being one of those times. (We're lucky enough to have a VERY VERY happy boy that NEVER is fussy or anything. He's always just a joy to be around). As soon as I picked him up though, he stopped and was happy again.

Connor is now exactly 12 lbs. and in the 50th percentile for weight.

And he's 23 1/2 inches and in the 75th percentile for height.

She said that he's a very healthy, happy boy, and we'll see them again at 4 months.

Connor - March 22, 2009

On the 22nd of every month (his birthday), I'm going to be taking a picture of Connor in his diaper, with a black background. I want to then put them all together to see the changes every month. I look at him now and think he hasn't changed that much... but then I just put together his newborn, 1st month, and 2nd month pictures, and I can't believe how different he looks. It's amazing! He's so chubby now :-)

Connor looked very handsome for church on Sunday, but he sure didn't think so. He wasn't very willing to pose for a picture, even with Auntie Boo holding him. But his daddy was very willing to pose for a picture with Connor's tie on :-)

Chuck E. Cheese

My boss' daughter had a birthday party at Chuck E. Cheese, so we decided to take Connor for his first trip there. He LOVED all of the lights and everything going on. He was so fascinated, staring around at everything.

Connor spent the first half of the party sleeping...

then walked around with Mommy...

Said hello to Mommy and Daddy's boss, Michelle...

Okay, so maybe he didn't have all that food... but he did enjoy his time there :-)

Fun with Connor

Connor is now 7 weeks old, and has decided that just being loved and held by everyone isn't fun anymore. He was really really fussy a couple of days ago, and I couldn't figure out what was wrong. He's usually a very happy, non crying baby. So my mom said that maybe he's just bored, and he wants more interaction.

So, I decided to take out some of his toys and books and things, and just kept moving him from one thing to the next, and he had a wonderful, non fussy day.

We started off in his crib, with the mobile...

Then moved on to his swing...



Hung out with his lion friend...

And ended up in his bouncy seat, where he fell asleep...

Pictures of Connor

There's about 2 hours... usually from 9-11pm, that Connor's awake and happy, but just doesn't want to sleep. It's late though, so we're usually at home in bed (hence the reason for the PJs he's wearing in all of the pictures, lol). So I always end up pulling out the camera and taking pictures of him. We're always trying to get a smile, and last night we finally got one of him looking at the camera and smiling! :-)
