Bad News...

To start off with the bad news... Aaron and I were in Arizona this weekend to visit his parents. The last morning we were there, we got up and went out into the parking lot of Aaron's mom's gated apartment complex to pack up our car to leave, and the car was gone. We called the police, but at this point, it doesn't seem very likely that we're going to get the car back. We were lucky enough to have Aaron's mom drive us half-way home, and then have Katie and my dad pick us up from there and take us home. Very sad thing is that Aaron had to quit his job, because his job is being a mobile photographer, where he has to have a car because sometimes it's 1-2 hours away. And I'm only working part time... so we're really trying to figure out what to do from here. If anyone knows of a job that's available or a very inexpensive car, please let us know :-)

3 Month Easter/Spring Pictures

We decided to do monthly pictures of Connor, taking then on, or near the 22nd of every month. Each month is sort of themed, with whatever holiday is that month. April was Easter/Spring pictures. I've actually ended up taking his pictures about 3 times a month though :-) I guess that's just what happens when you mom AND dad are photographers.

Happy Anniversary to Us!

Aaron and I celebrated our 1st Anniversary this past Sunday. I can't believe that it's already been a year. Sometimes it feels like it's been 10 years, and sometimes it feels like we were just married last month. :-) Can't wait to celebrate next year, and the year after, etc.

As tradition goes, we saved the top of our cake (our BIG cupcake) to have for dessert. I was dreading it a bit thinking that being in a freezer for a year, it was going to be gross. Especially since Katie just had hers just two weeks ago, and she said that it was disgusting! I was pleasantly surprised, and it was actually good :-) Strangely enough, it tasted like it was made only a day or two earlier.

Connor is a crazy sleeper. He's finally a good sleeper (9:30pm til 7:00am), but he moves a LOT at night. I laugh EVERY morning when I go into his room to get him out of his crib.

Yesterday, Connor grabbed his toy with his hand for the first time, and held on to it tight! He then put it into his mouth and started chewing on it. It was so cute :-)

Connor keeps trying to sit up on his own, so I just set him up to see what would happen. He sat there for a moment (long enough to take a picture) and then fell over :-)

Utah Trip

A little over a week ago, we got a call from family in Utah, saying that my 85 year old grandpa wasn't doing very good, and we better come up and visit him, because he might not make it much longer. Luckily, everyone was able to get a few days off work, and my parents, brother, sisters, Connor and I were all able to go.
