Sick baby boy

I'm exhausted. Aaron's exhausted. Connor's exhausted!

Connor is teething (one tooth is through, and the other is just about through) and he's got a MAJOR cold. The worst one he's had so far. He's just plain miserable. He won't eat, he won't sleep... he wants to be held until I pick him up, and then he wants down. As soon as I put him down, it starts over again. Nothing makes him happy. Because of the cold, he can't breathe very well, so every 2 hours he wakes up at in a panic. In all of this though, the good thing is his bedtime has moved up. He was going to bed between 9 and 10pm. And now he's so tired he goes to bed about 8 or 8:30. I feel so bad for him, but there's nothing I can do :-(

Well, on to a good note...

Some facts about Connor when he's not sick or in a bad mood: :-)

~ he's learning to walk along furniture and while pushing his toy that moves. He LOVES that he can do that. He gets all happy and is all smiles while everyone cheers him on.

~ every time someone sings or he hears music, he starts to "dance" now. It's the cutest thing I've ever seen.

~he says mama & mum (Bethany says he's British) , dada & baba. Not sure if he actually knows what he's saying... but he does sit at my feet and cry and whine "mum" when he wants me to pick him up.

~ he wants to eat anything and everything that I am eating or drinking

~ he LOVES to go shopping. He likes watching people and likes to pull clothes off hangers

~ when Aaron gets off work (he gets off 2 hours before I do), he goes to my parents house to pick up Connor. When he walks into their house, if he does ANYTHING before picking up Connor and saying hi, Connor will sit there and whine and cry and watch Aaron walk around the house, and eventually throw a fit until Aaron goes over to him.

~ he loves to watch Family Feud and Hannah Montana (the show or the movie, lol)

~ he LOVES taking baths. He would stay in the bath for hours if I didn't make him get out. He spashes like a crazy mad man too. I have to have towels everywhere!

First Tooth (Teeth)

Connor has been so cranky lately, and two night ago, he was up practically the whole night. I know he's been teething for a while now, but this morning, I opened his mouth (he usually won't open it to let me look), and look what I found? :-) One tooth is just about to break through, and the other has a little more to go.

Photoshoots outside aren't the easiest thing with Connor. He wants to look at EVERYTHING but me and the camera. And he refuses to smile!! Little booger. Luckily he's so cute :-)

7 Months Old

Connor just turned 7 Months Old on Saturday. He's getting to big so big, and he's just got the cutest personality ever. He's started sleeping through the night again. Sleeps from about 9pm til 7am or so... sometimes longer. I laugh every time to check on him, in the weird ways that he's fallen asleep. He usually starts off on his stomach, and ends up something like this...

He's just started making this funny face when he laughs, where he scruntches up his nose, where often he even snorts. Something similar to this face. He's all gums too, doesn't have any teeth yet. We keep thinking that somethings coming soon, but who knows.


He LOVES to eat baby food. I haven't found anything that he doesn't like. He loves sweet potatoes, green beans, peas, squash, carrots, applesauce, peaches, pears, prunes, bananas... etc.

He loves when food drops onto his high chair, because he "fingerpaints" with it all over his tray

He loves going outside with daddy to work on the yard.

At Aaron's job, he's always getting tips. Sometimes it money... but he's also got homemade strawberry jam, and this plant holder. It's so big, Connor fits into it.

I guess that's it for this month... we love our little boy, who's not so little anymore.

My baby is already half of a year old!!!!!

Aaron and I tried out for the Newlywed Gameshow yesterday. It was lots of fun. We drove down to LA to do so, and we had our audition. I have no idea how it went, because they have call backs in the end of August, so we'll basically find out then. Wish us luck!!

I can't believe that Connor is already 6 months old. Actually, this blog is a little late, because he'll be 7 months in about 10 days, lol... but these are all his 6 month pictures. We end in for his 6 month appointment a week ago though, and he's 27 inches and in the 75th percentile for height, and he's 18 lbs. 6 oz. and in the 70th percentile for weight. He's sitting up VERY well now. The doctor was very surprised at how well he sits up, and for how long he sits up. He'll sit up for over and hour, playing with his toys and stuff. Connor got a cold about 3-4 weeks ago, and going from sleeping through the night for about 10-12 hours.... he went to sleeping only about 8-9 hours at night, and waking up about 3-5 times. He also used to sleep on his stomach, but can roll over to his back now, and so he'll do that in his sleep. But, within the past week, he started sleeping through the night again. So lets hope that continues. The other good thing is that he'll fall asleep on his own at night now. I used to nurse him to sleep, but now I nurse him until he's done, and then lay him in his crib. As long as he's got his paci, softies, and musical seahorse... he'll lay there for 5-30 minutes talking, and then fall asleep on his own.

He moves so much at night, and here he's smashed up against the side of the crib, laying crooked. Aaron says I sleep the same way :-)

Connor LOVES taking baths. He got to big for his baby bath, so he was in the big bath with the baby bath sling. But he was kicking so much that he would slide off the sling. So we moved into his big boy bath, which he loves. He spashes and chews on his duckies!

Connor went swimming for the first time this month, and he LOVES the pool. He has a turtle sit in floatie, but also a lifevest floatie... but loves to be held in the pool too. Here's daddy and Connor

Connor just started trying to talk, and he says "dada" all the time. He'll even repeat it when we say it to him. Aaron loves this, of course. Especially since the past couple of weeks, Connor has been a real momma's boy. Every time I leave his eyesight, he starts crying. Doesn't want anyone else holding him either. But he sure loves his daddy :-)

This month he's started using a sippy cup, and loves drinking water out of it. He even tries to hold it on his own.

Connor loves all of his toys, but he's just as entertained with household objects...

hangers, cup lids, boxes, etc....

and he's just started getting upset when we take things away from him...

he's started stretching for things out of reach...

He LOVES doing the laundry with Mommy or Daddy...
